Many people would not be able to resist letting out a resounding “Awe!” at the sight of following fifteen animals. Although they are all very cute and seemingly innocent – with their furry skins or beautiful colors – don’t be fooled, these cuties can be dangerous and have the potential to be fatal to humans. From expanding fish to bears, and even frogs, it is better to keep a distance between yourself and these creatures, no matter how badly you want to keep one as a house pet.
As adorable as they are to look at when fully engorged, pufferfish should not be underestimated as they are the second most poisonous vertebrate on Earth. They contain a poison called tetrodotoxin in their liver and skin, which is reportedly two hundred times more deadly than cyanide.
14. Slow Loris
Sometimes owned as a pet and a common species in the illegal pet trade, the slow loris is far more dangerous than he looks. They carry a toxin on the side of their elbows, which is released when they are feeling threatened. This poison can be fatal to humans as it sometimes causes an anaphylactic shock.
