Amusement parks are fun and exciting for adults and children alike. However, most of the time, they are geared towards a younger audience. The thrill rides and roller coasters that people enjoy during their teens are just not as easy to stomach when they become adults. The good news is that there are attractions out there that are geared toward an older audience but still fun and thrilling. Here are eight creative adults-only attractions around the world.
La Cité Du Vin
Adults can find La Cité du Vin in Bordeaux, France, a region known for its wine. Called the ‘city of wine,’ this attraction opened in 2016 to the delight of people around the world. The park offers plenty of alcohol and no children whining for more ice cream (a clear win-win). It contains a 250-seat auditorium where people can take classes or listen to lectures. There is also a 10-story building where wine-tasting sessions are held, a popular site in the park as most people can imagine. La Cité du Vin is a full exhibit on wine and its history, which is something that most adults, especially wine connoisseurs, can enjoy just as much as a regular amusement park.
People who know something about European languages may be able to guess that this theme park has something to do with love. Although there are no roller coasters, London’s self-proclaimed 'Academy of Sex and Relationships' is essentially an erotic museum, parts of which are literally hands on. It ran for fifteen months in London and included interactive sculptures that visitors were welcome to touch, especially near the erogenous zones. Those who visited were also able to try out something called the ‘spank-o-meter.’ The museum even gave people the opportunity to speak with sex therapists to improve their sexual health. It truly contained something for everyone as long as they were at least eighteen years old.
