In order to be a hunter, especially one who hunts big game, you have to be cunning, sharp, and be able to anticipate the movements of your prey. However, even the best hunters have to test their skills against the most difficult and dangerous animals.
20. Polar Bears
Polar bears are the most difficult to hunt because they’re extremely capable hunters themselves. Adult males can reach up to ten feet tall and weigh up to 1,500 pounds.
What makes polar bears difficult to hunt is their sense of smell–they can detect prey from over a mile away and under three feet of ice. They’re also able to reach sprinting speeds of up to 25 miles per hour.
Polar bears can crush a seal’s skull with a single blow. You can’t convince us that that’s not terrifying.
