Raising children is not for the faint of heart. It requires all of your attention all of the time. With so much energy spent making sure the day-to-day tasks are carried out, it is hard to imagine mustering up the strength or effort to do a little something extra for you or your kids. These simple tips are designed for parents who already give one hundred ten percent but are willing to go the extra mile to bring their family even closer together.
10. Make A Fuss Over The Little Things
Your child feeds off of your reactions. It may not seem like a big deal that your child tied their shoes all by themselves for the thousandth time in a row, but try to at least acknowledge their accomplishment each and every time. The little things may not seem like a big deal to you, but remember your kids are experiencing these things for the first time and they want you to share in their excitement.
9. Love Your Partner
Showing your partner some affection in front of your child is not only good for your relationship; it is good for your child! Children feel comfortable knowing they have a strong foundation at home. Practice doing nice things for each other in front of your child. There may be a time when a time hug or kiss repulses your teenager, but they still need to see that mom and dad are in love.
