The 32-year-old trailblazer has greatly changed how people look at trans men and women. In her first appearance on The Tyra Banks Show, she shared her struggles and exciting experiences, explaining her life story further. She was also featured in OUT, US Weekly, and Seventeen and was the first openly transgender fashion model of American Apparel. Now, Isis is devoting her time to the acting industry. Apart from off-Broadway plays, she starred in The Bold and the Beautiful.
Claudia Charriez was born in New York and started modeling when she was 16 years old. She was able to overcome labels and became a popular international model. In this day and age, she knows that the transsexual thing will have some shock value. Fortunately, Claudia became surrounded by amazing, supportive people. She rose to fame appearing on The Tyra Banks Show (2005), The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency (2006) and Jennifer Hudson: I Still Love You (2015).
Despite a couple of negative comments at some point, Claudia’s transsexuality did not stop her from pursuing a career in modeling. Even though she was eliminated in The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency TV shows and American’s Next Top Model, Claudia won the crown in America’s Next Top Transsexual Model contest on The Tyra Banks Show.
