10 Extremely Rare Luxury SUVs

April 11, 2023

Whale penis leather and diamond encrusted dashboards are not something most people see in a car on a daily basis. These incredibly ridiculous and over-the-top SUVs are loved by everyone in the world, but can only be afforded by celebrities and dictators. Most of them are designed to be military vehicles that can withstand some powerful weaponry for what can only be assumed as the most aggressive form of road rage ever. Here are the top ten exceedingly rare luxurious SUVs.

Lamborghini LM002

The Lamborghini LM002 was the Italian brand’s not-so-successful attempt at making an SUV. Originally designed to be a military vehicle, the LM002 was noted to have a series of mechanical problems that proved to be counterproductive for the army. The LM002 was so unreliable that two trucks were reportedly needed to drive behind the SUV just in case it broke down, which apparently it did frequently enough to require backup. Its estimated cost is $120,000.

Dartz Kombat

Even though it will run the average buyer a cool $225,000, the Dartz Kombat is still the least expensive truck this brand offers. The vehicle is built by hand in Russia and is fully armored with a Vortec V8 engine. Known as the “Black Alligator,” the Kombat was available in North America for just two years from 2010-2012 before it was phased out by the Prombron, which would eventually become one of the most expensive SUVs ever sold at $1.25 million.

International CXT

The International CXT is one of the cheaper vehicles on this list with an estimated cost of $125,000. The extreme commercial truck is a beast on wheels, which measures just over 21 feet and can tow up to 20 tons. Its massive 466-cubic-inch, 7.6-liter engine has been known to eat small children (just kidding). All of the XT series trucks were built in Garland, Texas. They were discontinued in 2008 due to lower than expected sales.

Freightliner Sport Chassis

Made of solid steel, the Freightliner Sport Chassis is produced by Daimler Trucks North America division. The price is estimated at just under $200,000 and this thing looks like hell on wheels. In addition to being able to haul just about any boat or trailer, the Freightliner also reportedly comes with a sports utility package with serious off-roading capabilities. Sport Chassis models include the RHA-350, the RHA 450, the P2-350, the P2-XL and the P4-XL.

Alton Truck Company F650

With an estimated cost of $200,000 the Alton Truck Company F650 looks a bit like a limo on steroids. It reportedly weighs in just below 26,000 lbs with a Caterpillar 7.2 liter engine, 660 pounds of torque, and 230 horsepower. Inside of the beast, buyers can expect hardwood floors, four wireless computer stations, a 42-inch plasma television, custom captain chairs, and rearview cameras.

Paramount Marauder

SUV enthusiasts may remember the Paramount Marauder being featured on an episode of Top Gear. The armored military truck is mine-protected and weighs four times the amount of a Hummer H2. It was designed for peacekeeping military missions and can hold up to ten people, including a commander and a driver. Configurations are either 4x4 or 6x6, and it has a top speed of around 75 miles per hour with plenty of room for weaponry.

Dartz Prombron Aladeen Edition

The Dartz Prombron Aladeen Edition is well known among comedy lovers for its appearance in the 2012 film The Dictator. It was once the world’s most expensive armored SUV with an estimated cost of half a million. The 4.5 ton, fake gold plated vehicle can hold six people and withstand a hit from a rocket-propelled grenade, so bullets will not phase it. According to MotorTrend, a $7 million, diamond-encrusted version of the SUV was sold to a Chinese customer.

Spyker D8 Peking to Paris

The mid-size luxury crossover SUV was produced by Spyker Cars and designed by Michiel van den Brink. It was introduced to the world at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show as a version known as the D12, but the name was changed when the engine was upgraded to a V8. The name refers to a 1907 three-month-long rally from Peking (now Beijing) in China to Paris, France in which the Spyker vehicle came in second place. Notable features include suicide doors, aero blade wheels, and smooth rear view mirrors.

Conquest Vehicles Knight XV

As one of the rarest and most expensive SUVs on Earth, the Knight XV is a hand-crafted, fully armored SUV made in Canada. With an estimated cost of $629,000, only 100 SUVs of its kind were ever made. The Knight XV comes with a 6.8 liter, V10 engine with bio-fuel and an exterior that was inspired by military trucks. Professional basketball player Dwight Howard can be seen driving one of these around. It is also popular among dictators.

Dartz Prombron Red Diamond Edition

The Dartz Prombron Red Diamond Edition is the king of all beasts. It features a leather interior made from whale penis. It is bulletproof and comes equipped with an 8.1-liter V8 engine. As the world’s most expensive luxurious SUV, it has an estimated value of $1.5 million and comes with tungsten and white gold gauges crusted with rubies and diamonds, a white gold diamond encrusted dashboard and grill, gold-plated windows, and three bottles of the world’s most expensive vodka, RussoBaltique Vodka.
