Guide To Buying The Toyota Tacoma

Technology

Toyota is trying to lure in the adventurers, not only by the look of the Tacoma but with some technology. Coming standard with all models is a GoPro mount on the inside windshield, to help record those amazing off-road trips. Bluetooth capabilities are also standard.

For certain models, drivers can get a Smart Key fob with a push-button start, which is the latest in luxury cars. For more, drivers can also get a qi-compatible wireless charging system and an Entune audio system that comes with a 7-inch touchscreen.

Engine/Fuel EfficiencyThe old 4-liter V6 is out, replaced with the new 3.5-liter V-6, which includes a D4S combination of direct and port fuel injection. This gives the vehicle 278 horsepower, which is more than the outgoing 4-liter. The Tacoma also includes a smaller 2.7-liter four, which only gets about 159 horsepower. However, if a driver is looking for a manual transmission, they will be disappointed: The only manual available comes with the 2.7-liter four and only has five speeds, while the automatic V6 has six speeds.
